What is Hypnosis
Hypnosis has been often associated with mysterious strange acts hypnotic shows, sideshows and faith healers. If you want the truth about hypnosis it isn’t at all mysterious or supernatural, when you understand how your mind really works! Learning stage hypnosis is so easy with a good teacher you could learn the process in a couple of days. You have been in a hypnotic state literally thousands of times but probably didn’t know that it was hypnosis.
You will have responded to post hypnotic suggestions in your life, but because there is such uncommon knowledge about hypnosis because we are not taught it when we grow up you may not know that it is an altered state of consciousness.

When you start out on a journey you get in your car and pull out onto the main road, and you move in a continuous flow of traffic, and reach a constant speed. Now your conscious mind is free!
The reason is simple your subconscious is in control and has the power has the knowledge. As it is in control and has skills to drive your conscious mind switches off allowing your subconscious to take you on your journey. You may be engrossed in your thoughts what you are going to do when you get to your destination.
If you find that someone pulls out on you or your attention is needed to pay a toll, or find a new route because a road is blocked your conscious mind comes into play again. Perhaps you have even arrived at your destination and wondered how it seems so fast?
Driving is one of many automatic activities. Whenever you do anything automatic your outer mind your conscious mind is diverted to your subconscious mind and you are more likely to find yourself in an altered state as I just mentioned.
Your mind may drift into an altered state when you’re sat at home having your dinner, or walking or running in the park.
If you’re thinking thoughts and find yourself daydreaming you’re drifting into an altered state which is hypnotic in nature and could be called hypnosis. Hypnosis is an altered state.
